Shane was educated in Alberta and British Columbia and graduated from BCIT with a marketing management diploma in 1997.
Shane started at CB Richard Ellis in 1997 as a general assistant, also serving as a retail assistant and office leasing assistant before transferring to the Investment Division. Shane moved to Calgary in 1999 and subsequently partnered into a local startup brokerage firm in 2001. Shane later started Blackstone Commercial in 2005.
